I believe IT is probably one of the toughest and thankless jobs in corporate America today. The technology field is in constant flux due to its rapid evolution and growth. That said, I am also a big believer that running IT need not suck air. Running a disciplined IT can be awesome and kick ass!
In my view, a disciplined IT has:
- The relationship building and management ability to work well with all levels of the organization, internal and external
- The process and operational maturity to ensure a minimum level of competency
- The technology and architecture capability to ensure the business is well supported and things get done
On Daines Analytics, I hope to share perspectives with the readers on what they can do to make their IT organizations awesome and kick ass.
